We are pleased to announce that the GOTLAND CHAIR chair by TM Leader Contract has been recognized by the European Product Design Award in the category “Winner in HOME (Household Products)/Home Furniture: Interior”.
The GOTLAND chair, named after the Swedish island, is an example of formal synthesis and functionality. Its minimalist design, defined by its metal tube structure, makes it a refined and visually balanced piece.
Ideal for public spaces, this chair is practical and lightweight, allowing for easy handling and stacking. Its friendly, rounded aesthetics make it attractive in both commercial and residential environments. The chair follows the canons and aesthetics of the Nordic style and simplifies them in an exercise of formal synthesis, resulting in a chair in which the form is defined by the function of the product itself. It is a product with friendly and rounded shapes, very light and visually balanced.
The chair is drawn by the metal tube structure, which runs along it and in turn serves as a support for the seat and backrest. Both versions, with and without arm, are designed for use in collective spaces, as they are very manageable due to their stackability and low weight. A plate under the chair allows them to be stacked straight, preventing them from tipping over.
