SWAN wins the 2025 German Design Award
The Swan design, created by Carlos Soriano for TM Leader Contract, has been honored with the 2025 German Design Award in the Excellent Product Design – Furniture category. This piece combines functionality and aesthetics, standing out for its innovative design and visual impact.
We are delighted to announce that the design of our Swan armchair and sofa has won the prestigious German Design Award of 2025 in the Excellent Product Design Furniture category. Swan is available as an armchair , sofa and modular. It is a design with an imposing presence thanks to its voluminous arms that open diagonally, giving a sense of spaciousness, as if embracing the user. In contrast, the thin metal base that supports the piece, raising it off the ground, creates an effect of weightlessness. In this design, the contours are drawn by alternating curved and straight lines that run through the piece, giving shape to volumes with an organic and dynamic appearance. With a high and slightly inclined backrest, it offers comfortable support for the back, while its generously padded cushions ensure a superior resting experience. Swan is undoubtedly a very versatile piece that offers the possibility to play with different shades and fabrics in the upholstery, thus accentuating the contrast with the colors of the legs. It is ideal for contemporary living rooms, creating a focal point in any space you wish to embellish with an eye-catching and functional piece.
GERMAN DESING AWARD
The German Design Awards is one of the most prestigious design awards in the world. Organized by the German Design Council since 2012, it is one of the most prominent international recognitions for innovative and sustainable design. This award highlights outstanding achievements in various disciplines such as product design, communication design and architecture, making it an indicator of innovation, quality and excellence within the global industry. The Excellent Product Design – Furniture award, in particular, recognizes furniture that combines functionality, aesthetics and sustainability, transforming everyday spaces.
Last year, in 2023, TM Leader Contract won this same award with the Nara chair, a design that translates the language of traditional Japanese design into an elegant and timeless piece of furniture with a high level of precision craftsmanship and perfectly balanced proportions that attracts attention with its visual presence. We are very proud to receive this award again, as this award underlines our commitment to design excellence and sustainability.
